My camera and photos have helped me remember those places and people I no longer have

Who am I:

Hi again, I'm from Venezuela, and I love to be a Portrait Photographer. I’m living in Walthamstow, London, this is my home now. I completed my Master’s Degree in Photography at the School of Contemporary Photography, EFTI, Madrid, in 2016.

My work is based on the family archive, migration, and the female body. Photography for me is a therapeutic tool that has helped me to communicate feelings and thoughts, creating self-awareness and self-knowledge of the inner self.

My last work focused on a series of workshops called “Build Your Family Album,” which aimed to create awareness through photography about migration, new homes, and resilience.

In addition to my photography, I ventured into content creation during the lockdown, realising another talent was born, making images with storytelling, for social media. I have worked in the past with local clients around my borough and also big clients like Levi’s, Uniqlo, F45, Perky Blenders, London Coffee Festival and more.

My creativity and enthusiasm for teaching photography and social media skills has bring me new people to mentor and to grow together as a community
